The Malaysia Smart Cities Alliance Association (MSCA) participated in Seminar Bandar Pintar 2026, organised by Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (MPS) in collaboration with Pertubuhan Perancang Malaysia (MIP) on 15 September 2026 at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC).
The seminar, themed “AI Meets Urban Planning 2.0”, was officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin bin Shari, Menteri Besar Selangor, and brought together representatives from government, local authorities, industry and the urban planning community to exchange perspectives on the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology in urban development.
MSCA was represented across several sessions by MSCA Chairman Ts. Dr. Raslan Ahmad, MSCA Committee Member TPr. Ts. Md Farabi from Gamuda Technologies, and MSCA Member Michael Fun from ITMAX System, contributing industry perspectives to the discussions.
The participation provided an opportunity for MSCA and its members to engage with stakeholders and contribute to broader discussions on how AI, technology and human-centred approaches can support the development of smarter and more liveable cities.
MSCA appreciates the opportunity to be part of this platform and looks forward to continuing to facilitate meaningful engagements between its members, government agencies, local authorities and industry stakeholders in advancing Malaysia’s smart city ecosystem.
