A constructive courtesy meeting was held on 15 April 2026 with the Political Secretary to the Minister of Jabatan Wilayah Persekutuan, Ms Yap Yee Vonne.
The session took place at the Pejabat SUPOL, Menara Seri Wilayah 2, Putrajaya, and was also attended by officers from the Bahagian Perbandaran dan Khidmat Teknikal, Seksyen Perbandaran.
The meeting was chaired by MSCA Chairman, Dr Raslan, and attended by representatives from Sunway, Sistem Perintis, MIGHT, eMoovit, BCN Smart Technologies, Vectolabs, Mobiva, and HeiTech Padu.
The primary objective of the engagement was to introduce MSCA and explore potential strategic collaboration opportunities with Jabatan Wilayah Persekutuan in advancing the smart city agenda.
During the discussion, Ms Yap Yee Vonne highlighted several key priorities, including:
Advancing DBKL towards a green and sponge city model, with emphasis on sustainable development and the expansion of urban green spaces
Strengthening Kuala Lumpur’s resilience against future risks and disasters
Enhancing data readiness to support effective AI adoption and smart city solutions
