The Malaysia Smart Cities Alliance Association (MSCA) conducted a courtesy visit to Johor Tech Smart City (JTSC), a newly launched smart city development by Genting Property, as part of its stakeholder engagement programme in Johor.
The MSCA delegation was led by Chairman, Ts. Dr. Raslan Ahmad, while the JTSC delegation was headed by Mr. Leonard, Vice President, Business Development.
During the engagement, the JTSC team shared an overview of the newly unveiled development, which is envisioned as an integrated smart city that leverages innovation, digital technologies, and sustainable urban planning to support Johor’s future growth. The session also provided valuable insights into JTSC’s long-term vision and strategic aspirations in contributing to the region’s innovation ecosystem.
The meeting served as a platform for both parties to exchange perspectives on smart city development and discuss opportunities for collaboration in advancing innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable urban development. MSCA also introduced the Association’s role in fostering collaboration across Malaysia’s smart city ecosystem by connecting government agencies, industry players, technology providers, and academia.
As part of the engagement, MSCA extended an invitation to JTSC to become a member of the Association, with the aim of strengthening collaboration and expanding opportunities for knowledge sharing, ecosystem engagement, and strategic partnerships.
