The Malaysia Smart Cities Alliance Association (MSCA) conducted a courtesy visit to Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) Johor as part of its ongoing stakeholder engagement programme in the southern region.
The MSCA delegation was led by Chairman, Ts. Dr. Raslan Ahmad, and joined by representatives from MSCA member companies, namely BCN Smart Technologies, Kanzu Research, AECA Solutions, and CALMS Technologies.
Representing MDEC Johor was Mydiana, Senior Manager of the Southern Regional Digital Economy Office (RDEO), Industry & Ecosystem Division.
The engagement served as an opportunity to reaffirm the strong partnership between MSCA and MDEC following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both organisations. Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in support of Malaysia’s digital economy agenda, while exploring initiatives that could further accelerate smart city development and ecosystem growth, particularly in Johor.
The session also provided an avenue to exchange updates on ongoing initiatives and identify opportunities where MSCA and MDEC could continue working together to create greater value for industry stakeholders and the wider smart city ecosystem.
MSCA extends its sincere appreciation to MDEC Johor for the warm hospitality and constructive engagement. The Association looks forward to building on its partnership with MDEC through continued collaboration that supports innovation, digital transformation, and the advancement of smart and sustainable cities in Malaysia.
