MSCA, in collaboration with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB), successfully organised a C-Suite Roundtable on “Alternative Financing & New Business Models for Smart City Projects” at MDEC Headquarters.
The roundtable brought together participants from various sectors, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue and knowledge sharing on innovative financing approaches for smart city development.
The session featured presentations by Tay Kok-Chin from Smart Cities Network, who highlighted the importance of national budget allocation in advancing AI-enabled cities in Malaysia, and Prof. Dr. Amir from INCEIF, who shared insights on revitalising waqf through blended financing models to support smart city initiatives.
In addition to the presentations, the programme included interactive discussions and breakout sessions, allowing participants to exchange perspectives and explore practical solutions to current challenges in smart city financing and implementation.
